Dr. Axel Weiss

Founding Partner

Axel has more than 25 years of experience in asset management and institutional distribution. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Head of Germany and Austria at AQR Capital Management, where he led the firm's institutional and wholesale business across equities and liquid alternative strategies.

Previously, he was Executive Director and Head of German Business at Affiliated Managers Group, responsible for distributing a broad range of public and private market strategies. Earlier in his career, he held senior institutional client roles at Fidelity International and Universal-Investment, and began his career as a portfolio manager at Commerzbank.

Axel holds a PhD in Business Administration from University of Bayreuth.

Sebastian Römer

Founding Partner

Sebastian has more than 20 years of experience in the global asset management industry. Most recently, he served as Managing Director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where he led the firm's asset management distribution across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland from the Frankfurt and Zurich offices.

Previously, he was Executive Managing Director and Head of DACH & Eastern Europe at Natixis Investment Managers, overseeing distribution across a broad platform of public and private market strategies. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at PIMCO, and worked at Apax Partners and McKinsey & Company.

Sebastian holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a degree in Economics from Heidelberg University.
